Design System Designer (Fixed-term Contract)

• Own UI polish and visual refinement

  Ensure all components meet a high bar for craft, accessibility, and visual consistency, bringing a pixel-perfect finish to the design system.

• Build robust Figma components

  Create flexible, scalable, and easy-to-use components, variants, and styles that follow best practices for Figma component architecture.

• Align with front-end engineering

  Work closely with FE engineers to ensure parity between the Figma library and coded components, optimizing for ease of implementation and performance.

• Drive for consistency across the product suite

  Audit designs and components to ensure consistency in interaction patterns, layouts, and brand application across all products.

• Document design patterns and guidelines

  Produce clear, accessible documentation within Figma and the design system site to guide designers and engineers in usage.

• Own component IxD and usability

  Design components to be intuitive, flexible, and efficient for designers to adopt, reducing friction and duplication.

• Support cross-team adoption

  Partner with product designers to integrate design system components into their workflows and coach them on best practices.

• Ensure accessibility compliance

  Design components to meet WCAG and inclusive design standards, working with accessibility specialists as needed.

• Five years of experience in building design systems.

• Experience working in Figma.

• Experience working closely with front-end engineering teams.

• Portfolio showcasing work.

• Strong visual design skill set.

• Interaction design capabilities.

• Confidence and experience in design systems to avoid common pitfalls.
