Job description
We are seeking a strategic, self-starting Full-stack Web Developer to significantly enhance and manage our main website. Our website is a critical digital platform for customer discovery and lead generation, and your work will be instrumental in creating a best-in-class B2B web experience for the solar industry. This role offers end-to-end ownership of our web stack and a direct strategic impact on our marketing and business goals.
This position requires a proactive individual who thrives on autonomy. You will be responsible for defining and implementing the technical solutions and processes that optimize performance, improve organic growth, and refine the user journey. Working closely with the Web Manager and collaborating with our creative team, you will lead the technical execution, ensuring our platform is robust, user-friendly, and consistently performs at a high level.
Strategic Impact & System Mastery
Develop and Architect: Own the codebase and architecture of our website utilizing our core tech stack: Laravel (PHP), Statamic (CMS), Next.js (Node.js), Tailwind CSS, and Alpine.js.
Strategic Solutioning: Proactively identify and implement technical solutions and process improvements that enhance site stability, speed, and maintainability.
Component Engineering: Architect, build, and refine reusable CMS components, templates, and page layouts to ensure flexibility and consistency across the site.
Full Development Lifecycle: Manage the entire process from initial scoping and implementation through rigorous functional testing and deployment.
Performance & Business Growth
Technical SEO Leadership: Champion and implement SEO best practices to maximize organic search visibility and support traffic growth.
Conversion Focus: Implement and iterate on web features and landing pages designed to enhance the user journey and drive lead conversions.
Site Optimization: Continuously diagnose and resolve technical issues related to site quality, stability, and page speed to ensure a high-quality user experience.
Collaboration & Proactive Ownership
Design Collaboration: Work closely with the Web Manager, Marketing, Content, and creative colleagues to translate business objectives into high-quality web experiences.
Proactive UX Input: Bring a hands-on perspective to the UX process, offering technical insights, suggesting usability improvements, and being prepared to handle necessary design implementations—without requiring every detail to be specified by the creative team.
Documentation & Standards: Maintain clear, comprehensive technical documentation for all components, processes, and workflows.
Job requirements
Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack, or combined front-end/back-end web development, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment.
Technical Proficiency (Expert): Strong, demonstrable proficiency across our primary stack: Laravel/PHP, Statamic (or other modern headless CMS), Next.js/Node.js, HTML, CSS (specifically Tailwind), and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Technical SEO: Solid, practical understanding of technical SEO fundamentals (crawling, indexing, structured data) and a track record of building performant sites optimized for search.
Self-Starter Mentality: Proven ability to take initiative, define problems, and drive solutions independently.
Development Standards: Extensive experience with Git/GitHub, modern development workflows, and a commitment to best practices in performance and accessibility.
Communication: Strong problem-solving skills and comfort in collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, Product).
Language: Fluency in English is required.
Nice to Have
UX/UI Experience: Proven hands-on experience or familiarity with UX/UI design principles (e.g., wireframing, layout, user flows) and tools (e.g., Figma).
Experience with advanced animations or motion design libraries.
Familiarity with marketing analytics and tooling (GA4, Google Tag Manager, HubSpot).
